Creative Castle is an invite-only art retreat in a dream location at the peak of summer. Carefully curated for 35 international multidisciplinary artists, it is a space for cross-pollination, experimentation, and play.
WHY: Because we, as artists, need creative community and nourishment, space to play and experiment, a break from career oriented productivity, and to be inspired by other art forms and new relationships.
Creative Castle is not a traditional residency. It’s a co-created experience. Every artist is invited to bring a part of their world to share with others. The idea is to come prepared, and yet free of expectations, open hearted, and spontaneous. The place we will be in is incredibly special, and the people you will meet here are too.
Because this event is independent and self-organised, each participant contributes to shared costs of accommodation, food and equipment.

This year, Creative Castle will take place in the Monastery of Ségriès, nestled in the wild landscapes of the Gorges du Verdon in the South of France. Surrounded by the whisper of the wind in the cypress trees and the scent of lavender, the monastery offers an inspiring, peaceful environment for creativity and nourishment.

The Monastère de Ségriès is kindly offering a discounted pricing for the Creative Castle residents.
(This includes all meals and shared equipment costs)
- The 5 nights stay in complete pension is of 650€ in shared room
- The 5 nights stay in complete pension is of 750€ in a private room
